Dear Participants,
In line with the practices adopted in our previous symposia and the requests received from our participants, it has been decided to allow submissions to our symposium based solely on abstracts, in order to make the application process more accessible.
Accordingly, the preparation of an extended abstract or a full paper will not be mandatory for submission.
The symposium proceedings book will consist only of abstracts and extended abstracts. Full-text papers that have already been submitted or will be submitted in the future will not be included in the proceedings book, in order to preserve their potential for publication in a special issue or in other scientific journals.
Nevertheless, in accordance with our initial announcement, the efforts of participants who have prepared and submitted extended abstracts or full papers, along with their comprehensive scientific contributions, will be duly acknowledged.
Such studies, subject to the successful conclusion of our ongoing special issue negotiations, will be evaluated for inclusion in the special issue based on their scientific merit and suitability to the journal’s scope. Authors of eligible papers will be contacted separately regarding the publication process.
With this arrangement, we aim to facilitate the application process for participants who are unable to go beyond the abstract stage, while also safeguarding the publication rights and article potential of researchers who submit more comprehensive studies.
Thank you for your interest and valuable contributions.
Sincerely,
Organizing Committee of the 20th National Clay Symposium
